Answer to Yesterday’s Devastating Riposte.

The somewhat scatological scenario was that Russell Kirk, legendary conservative academic and philosophy guru who was spending a year at Princeton and Harvard’s Pulitzer-prize winning biographer liberal Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. were in the Men’s Room, got into a debate while standing side-by-side. Schlesinger washed his hands with furiosity and soap while Kirk breezed out the door and down the hall. Schlesinger caught up with him and said, in a loud voice, “At Harvard, they teach us to wash our hands after we pee!” Everybody’s head turned around.

Kirk replied in a voice of equal intensity that rang across the room: “At Princeton, they teach us not to pee on our hands.”
