Personal Aside: What a Good Election it Was!

bradcole

Good Election.

If you were like me, you figured that with Lisa Madigan and all the liberal rainmakers going to Carbondale to pump up the campaign of Sheila Simon, the late sanctimonious Paul’s daughter, she would defeat the Republican incumbent and start a march to initiate yet another Democratic dynasty, she—a Southern Illinois U law professor to probably run for state AG the year Lisa runs for governor. Fate. Kismet.

But no—she lost to Brad Cole like a ton of bricks. Huzza!

And the endorsements we made here all made it but one. In the 2nd Bob Fioretti…in the 3rd Pat Dowell over The Hat…in the 32nd Scott Waguespach over Matlock. In the 35th Rey Colon over Vilma Colom. And the big one—in the 50th—Bernie Stone over Naisy Dolar. The only one we lost was the 49th and that by inches…but then we didn’t really lose because Joe Moore is an outstanding guest on the radio. And perhaps his fractionalized micro-millimeter win may cool off his Third World radicalism and worries about the poor geese and ducks while he shrugs off the taking of unborn human life.

  1. Well said, short, sweet, and to the point. Hope all is well with you and your classy wife. P.S. since I am not 20 anymore, the text in the textbox is hard to read. Pat
