The Slogan for Congressional Republican Candidates This Year?

hugh_hewitt
It’s superb and comes from talk show host and blogger Hugh Hewitt, law professor and evangelical: Four words…

Win…Confirm…Cut…Control!

Which means: Win the war…Confirm the judges…Cut taxes…Control spending (to which I add: and the borders!)

What do you think?

  1. I'm all in favor of winning the war in Iraq. Doubt it'll happen as long as the "we never make mistakes" group is running things at the Pentagon under Rumsfeld.

  2. The problem is deciding which candidate for governor fits the bill. Can we vote for none of the above?

  3. to do:

I, Loyal Citizen of the Republic, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States (1) against all enemies, foreign and domestic (2); that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

    (1) Including the First Amendment (repeal McCain Feingold, restore freedom of religious speech) the Second Amendment (including areas controlled by gangs (mostly under Democrat control) terrorizing unarmed law abiding citizens), etc etc etc

    (2) Including 12 - 20 million illegal aliens, Bush's "co president" Vincente Fox who dictates our immigration policy and the government of China (both economic and military) which is our main long term enemy - not AIPAC's flavor of the month / year.

  4. "Win" goes without saying. He should shorten it to "Confirm, Cut & Control".

Incidentally, I'm surprised that your promo of TFP didn't direct people to their website: www.tfp.org

    Dear Mr. Roeser,

Your content was right on the bulls eye in the Wanderer article! It is certainly good news to read the reaction from your audience. My wife Peggy and I have just published a new 10 book series for 3-6 year olds helping to learn their faith. The series is called "Questions For GOD". Our web site www.questionsforgod.info
I would like to know if it would be possible to use your comments from Stick to Fundamentals and quotes from Dr. David Stolinsky on our web site? Those 7 paragraphs spell out our problems and should be read by the adults reviewing our site and learning about the series.
Thank you for your fine words and straight talk.
