The Answers to the Hollywood Quiz that Everybody Flunked.

I tried it Sunday night where the listeners got two out of three. In the film “All About Eve” Bette Davis’ immortal lines were: “Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy night.” Night—not ride. The beauty who showed up on the arm of George Sanders who went from there to super-stardom was Marilyn Monroe. The radio audience got those. The third question which was very tricky: who were the three members of the cast who committed suicide in real life? Monroe, Sanders…and Barbara Bates who played Phoebe. O.k., I learned. We’ll not do film trivia again.

Pick Out this Villain from Shakespeare…

He said: The tyrannous and bloody deed is

Done,

The most arch deed of piteous

Massacre.

That ever yet this land was guilty of.

Who said it and in what play? Okay, you can look it up. Extra points for calling off the top of your head, though.

  1. It takes more brains to listen to the radio than to surf the net. Sorry to let you down.
