What about the greater aggregate number of whites who receive government handouts/benefits? Does that also predispose them to be pro-Democrat or anti-prosecution in a corruption trial? If Mr. Roeser's logic were sound, it would mean that everyone who is not independently wealthy or fully self-funded (a small percentage of the population given the number of white and workers of all ethnicities in the U.S. who benefit from public largess, be it construction spending, Social Security entitlements, public safety, and so on) would hold similar views. Clearly, given the Tea Party, GOP, conservative action group and white supremacist's organizations heavy concentration of white rural and industrialized working poor, this is not the case. The argument is flawed and unsound.DJ Orejonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04650224588563112522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3709087743016851805.post-40611309921172829782010-08-24T17:15:37.761-05:002010-08-24T17:15:37.761-05:00Brent, your ire is misplaced. When Bill Cosby accused young black men of not taking responsibility for the children they fathered and charged them with becoming responsible fathers, he was excoriated by the politically correct. But he was right. The numbers of single mothers and unwed mothers in the black community continues to grow. Where are the fathers? Where is their responsibility?

Thank God you had a loving mother and father growing up. Many black children don't - and that is not racism, it is fact.GORhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14313101159848740722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3709087743016851805.post-69602822788786706102010-08-23T20:49:38.517-05:002010-08-23T20:49:38.517-05:00Mr. Roeser, I am deeply offended by this column. Aside from your obvious ignorance of black people ( my father was not just a "sperm donor" he loved my mother very much) the only logical conclusion of your analysis is that because of Blago's "All Kids Program" a black woman let him off the hook. What if she just thought the defense made a good case? Your rejection of the notion that blacks cannot think rationally because of hand-outs is outdated, racist, and inexcusable--by the way, my name is Brent Foster from St. Louis, MO and I have a podcast called the Blindspot!Brenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00925198433800130509noreply@blogger.com
