The crucifix in urine as art. Foul anti-Catholic films from Hollywood. and then the Liberal professors in many many Catholic schools. Just try to be a conservative Catholic student in a class taught by a liberal!

As Pope John Paul has said, the smoke of satan has crept into the Church.

I remember the days when Latin and the Statuary went out and the Guitars and the liberal Mass came it! The liberal priests who at weddings said, "You are two trees standing apart so as to not shade each others wishes and desires".

No one cared as long as the beer flowed on Saturday night and forgiveness came during the next day's mass.

Look at the persecution of Catholics in Communist China.... now one cares as long pet minorities such as blacks and Jews are not being persecuted there. Don't disrupt the money to be made on the slave wages. Forget the strong human rights days against Soviet Russia for the sake of the Jews or and econmoic embargo against Apartheid Africa for the sake of the blacks. Go on, China persecute the Catholics because, its OK because "constructive engagement" will save the day!

Liberal persecution is in the Protestant Church as will. Look at the Episcopal Church, the Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church, etc. All victims of the Liberal onslaught and much of it to due with the acceptance of perverted sex.

And then there is PC so that all with shut up and not fight back!

The smoke of Satan is all over the place these days! When I was growing up in the 1940s and 1950s and our nuns spoke of persecutions past as well as those then occurring in communist countries, I could never quite imagine that I would see at least the beginnings of a persecution of Catholics and orthodox Judeo-Christians in the United States. Nor would I or the nuns ever imagined an Archbishop like Niederauer or Mahony. But here we are. And it appears fulfilling what Our Lord said in John 15 about the world hating Him and us, if we follow Him. The future is frightening, yes, but also redemptive in ways our local parishes have yet to imagine.John Hetmannoreply@blogger.com
